Centrifugation Details:

Speed: 3500-4000 RPM (2300-2500 RCF)

Time: 10-12 min

Procedure:

  1. Collect 10 ml of blood by vacuum draw or by syringe.
  2. Invert Tubes 8-10 times to mix anticoagulant properly with blood.
  3. Centrifuge the tube as per given speed and time.
  4. After centrifuge, separate upper 3-4 ml of PPP (platelet poor plasma) in separate tubes.
  5. Then mix bottom 1-2 ml of platelet rich plasma (PRP) inside the tube properly.
  6. First use bottom PRP (Buffy Coat) first then use PPP to patient.
  7. Dispose all contaminated tubes and syringes properly.
