Centrifugation Details:

Speed: 2000-3500 RPM (1200-2200 RCF)

Time: 10-12 min

Procedure:

  1. Collect 8.5-9 ml of blood by vacuum draw or by syringe.
  2. Invert Tubes 8-10 times to mix anticoagulant properly with blood.
  3. Centrifuge the tube first time at 2000 RPM low speed for 5 -7 min
  4. Separate the plasma carefully into blank tube.
  5. Centrifuge the collected plasma 2nd time ate 3000-3500 RPM for 5-7 min.
  6. After centrifuge, separate upper 3-4 ml of PPP (platelet poor plasma) in separate tubes.
  7. Then mix bottom 1-2 ml of platelet rich plasma (PRP) inside the tube properly.
  8. First use bottom PRP (Buffy Coat) first then use PPP to patient.
  9. Dispose all contaminated tubes and syringes properly.
