Centrifugation Details:
Speed: 3500-4000 RPM (2300-2500 RCF)
Time: 10-12 min
Procedure:
- Collect 10 ml of blood by vacuum draw or by syringe.
- Invert Tubes 8-10 times to mix anticoagulant properly with blood.
- Centrifuge the tube as per given speed and time.
- After centrifuge, separate upper 3-4 ml of PPP (platelet poor plasma) in separate tubes.
- Then mix bottom 1-2 ml of platelet rich plasma (PRP) inside the tube properly.
- First use bottom PRP (Buffy Coat) first then use PPP to patient.
- Dispose all contaminated tubes and syringes properly.
